Home Tales are proud to present this newly completed loft conversion and ground floor internal reconfiguration in Southfields, London. Our team undertook the architectural design and obtained the relevant planning permission from Wandsworth Council for a single dormer extension and reconfigured ground floor, with the addition of new doors and windows to the open plan layout. We also completed the structural engineer and building regulation drawings which the clients chosen building contractor used to build the scheme.

The loft conversion is a single dormer extension which features two windows overlooking the garden and three Velux windows on the front roof pitch. The loft conversion allowed for two double bedrooms and a bathroom to be added to this property. With this our client now has two spacious, bright children’s rooms that offer the space to grow with them alongside the large bathroom with its own shower.  

On the ground floor the homeowner wanted to increase natural light within the kitchen, so we inserted two skylights and reconfigured the kitchen to produce this kitchen and dining open plan layout. We inserted large floor to ceiling doors to the garden and a large window to help maximise natural light. We also created a new utility room to increase storage space. The utility room has double access from the hallway and through a hidden pocket door to the kitchen making the use more efficient as either utility or pantry and integrating it neatly into the space. The homeowners have chosen a beautiful, light neutral finish with sleek cabinetry that really showcases what a bright and open space was achieved.
