3D Visualisation Service

Step into your future home with our 3D visualisation service. House renovations are a big commitment. They take time, money, and require a huge amount of decisions to be made. It’s important you think about the interior design of your new space at the early stages, as this can help develop your extension shell design. For example, you might want to consider a skylight over your dining table. This is a very popular option with our clients, and we frequently include this within our designs. To include this in your design, you need to think about how you are going to use the space form the beginning, otherwise, how do you know where to place the skylight? Another popular decision is to have full width glass doors to the rear of your ground floor extension. However, it’s worth considering whether you want your kitchen cabinets to run the length of your room. If this is the case, you need at least 600mm of wall space on your rear wall.

Do you see how it all fits together? Do not worry! It’s our job at Home Tales to talk to you about these things, and make sure you have considered these practical elements before you commit to a design. We offer our 3D visualisation service as a bolt-on to our design service. Our design service includes architectural floorplans (2D), planning permission, structural calculations and building regulation drawings. If you want to go a step further, and see your floorplans in more detail, you can select our 3D visualisation service.

The 3D visualisation service allows you to see your floorplans in more detail. The 2D design can be hard for some people to interpret, particularly if you haven’t done this before or if you aren’t experienced in design. We have two stages to this service.

2D Architectural Plans

We offer 2D floorplans of your home as standard within our design service. These show the outline of your home in a 2D setting. We indicate where the doors, windows, walls and main elements are (eg. boiler). We also include the interior elements, such as sofas, armchairs, kitchen cabinets etc. We can even measure your bulkier furniture (eg. sofa) and draw it to scale on your plans. In the design phase, we fully expect you to play around with the kitchen layout, to help shape your room. We are not kitchen designers, but we can draw basic amenities and appliances onto your drawings, such as 600mm cabinets and where your sink and oven are going to go. This gives you a basic plan to take to your kitchen provider.

3D Visualisation Floorplan

If you are struggling to contextualise the space, and want some help to visualise the area, you can select our 3D Visualisation bolt-on. This brings your floorplan to life and gives them some depth and perspective. As a first step, we create a mood board with you. This helps us to identify the core materials and colours you are going for. We include the floor material, window and door styles, placement and style of furniture etc. As you can see from the floorplan below, this makes is much easier to see how the room works.

If you are interested in this service, the price starts from £395 per floor and it takes approx. 1 to 2 weeks to complete. We include some amendments in this price, so you can experiment with different styles and layout ideas.

3D Render

If you want to see the proposal in absolute final detail, our 3D renders offer realistic, detailed image of your room. We follow a similar process to the 3D visualisation floorplan service, and we use mood boards to get an idea of what you want. We can give you some ideas too if you want them. This is much more time consuming as it’s showing the intricate detail of the room. The prices start from £395 per image, and it takes 1 to 2 weeks to produce. The amendments are harder to make with these, but we do include some limited amendments within our fee.

Check out our 3D visualisation webpage for more information, or contact our friendly team on 0207 043 2378. Prefer email? Get in touch at hello@hometales.co.uk to speak to a member of our team. We offer site visits which are free of charge. These enable us to meet with you at your property to discuss your project in more detail. Following the visit, we will issue a no obligation quote for the works. If you have floorplans already, and simply want to use our 3D service, simply email them into us and give us a quick summary of what it is you want to do. We can then issue a no obligation quote for the work from there. We look forward to hearing from you.
