Home Tales House Tour: What To Expect

We are delighted to be opening the doors of a completed project next month for our House Tour. Saturday 15th of October we’ll be presenting a stunning project featuring a ground floor extension, loft conversion and extensive refurbishment. Here we are going to talk you through what happens at our house tours, why you should come along and answer some of our most asked questions.

What is the house tour? The house tour is our chance to meet with you and showcase a fantastic past project. It is completely free of charge. You’ll get to explore a stunning home in SW18 and ask any questions to members of our architectural and project management team. You will also be able meet with the head builder, who can answer your questions about the construction of the property as well as discussing your own home renovation plans. We will book you in for a dedicated timeslot – you can look around at your leisure assured of one-to-one time with our team. We can give you the inside scoop on how the project came together, answering any questions about topics including costs to build duration and planning permission. Of course, we will also be there to discuss your own home and the Home Tales process of helping you achieve your dream result.

What does the project include? We’ll be presenting a stunning transformation featuring a ground floor extension and loft conversion. We also refurbished the property. This included full re-wire and plumbing throughout, including the removal of a load bearing wall and chimney breasts. It is a family home that showcases a great way to tackle a Victorian style middle room, add bedrooms for a growing family and includes beautiful features including crittal style doors and velux windows. We think it’s the perfect way to see what can be achieved with a typical London terrace and see the real-life application of the fixtures and fittings you may be considering.

We appreciate the ease of scrolling online for home inspiration but with our house tour you can get a realistic idea of space and size, we’ll have all the measurement information and you’ll be free to explore the space and talk to us about how similar (or different plans) can translate to your own property. We are more than happy for you take pictures, notes, or videos!

As timeslots are booked, we have the capacity for you to bring along whoever you wish. This absolutely includes children; we are more than happy to welcome kids of all ages into the property. The home is not undergoing any current works, it is a safe environment, and we can also offer privacy should younger children or babies require a change or feed. Do not hesitate to ask our team if you have any needs or accessibility requirements prior to or during the house tour – we will always try out best to accommodate! There is ample street parking available for free in the surrounding area, whilst the property is located at no more than a 10 minutes’ walk from bus, train, and tube.

So how do you join us? We would be delighted to welcome you to the property, all you need to do is send us over an email at hello@hometales.co.uk and our admin team will be in touch to arrange a chat with our team and provide you with all the details you’ll need for the day. Alternatively give us a call on 0207 043 2378 to speak with us directly. We cannot wait to meet you!
