News Item: Chimney removals in SW18

Chimneys are wonderful, traditional feature that are often associated with Victorian and Edwardian properties. While they were originally built to be functional, they no longer play such a critical role in day to day life. As a result, lots of homeowners remove them. It is very common to remove them when undertaking home building works and you have builders on-site.

Our client in SW18 opted to remove all of the chimneys within the property which totalled 3 on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor. We supported the external stacks with gallow brackets. This is the most efficient structural solution as it limits the steel supports taking up previous space in (what will be) the newly converted loft.

Our project management service gives you an experienced pair of eyes and ears throughout the build process and offers weekly updates, assistance with building control, guidance on payment milestones to your contractor, and general assistance with day to day activities.
